Our colleagues are important!

Last week I went for dinner with my dear friend Olivia.

We first met in 2006 when we worked at Peoplelink, Unilever in the UK. This was my first job in Recruitment and I absolutely loved working there! Initially I was a temp and then they offered me a contract to work in HR.

At the time, Olivia and I bonded over fishfinger wraps (Birdseye throwback!), Recruitment and evenings out in town (those were the days).

We were colleagues who became firm friends and 18 years later we are still very close.

In some ways ‘work is just work’…but in many ways it’s so, so much more. Who we surround ourselves with in life is key to our wellbeing and happiness. So to have colleagues who you can call friends is a blessing in my book ✨
